Ernest Ansermet conducted Stravinsky’s “The Soldier’s Tale” (l’Histoire du Soldat) in Lausanne in September 1918. In tribute to the creative partnership between Ernest and Igor, this room has an east-facing window, looking towards Lausanne. The south-facing window opens onto the private gardens, Lake Geneva and the Alps. Both the furniture and ambience are decidedly modern.
